• The ultra successful shopping complex of yore, Armidi, is going to have its first sale on all of their stock (and more) starting tomorrow, the 20th, and ending I don't know when. You will be able to shop on two separate sims operated by The Warehouse or on the Armidi website itself. You will be required to join an in-world group in order to partake of the sale, called "theWarehouse". It's open-enrolment and free (for now at least) ! I'm not sure what "final sale" means exactly; hopefully, it's a clearance sale making way for a new collection. Read more about it for yourself here. The Armidi team has not released much since their opening in... 2007, was it ? Or maybe 2008, I forget. Anyway, their designs today not only have not aged and still hold up with the best out there but their quality even still exceeds that of the majority of the newer clothing that's come out since on SL. So yeah, it'll be a good occasion to plump up that wardrobe of yours, but don't forget, don't be a clone ! #
• One of my favourite shopping sims is offering a great opportunity. It's a contest to win a shop space on Tableau for a month, and the contest closes on the 30th. Here are the guidelines: "What we're looking for: Your photo should showcase items that you've made in a Summery themed photo. The prize will be free spot in Tableau for 30 days (till July 31st) with 100 prims! How to enter: Add your finished photo to this pool for our judgmental eyes. Deadline for pictures is JUNE 30th. Contest winners will be revealed at the end of the festival: June 30th." #
• I've enjoyed doing this blogging thing very much during the past year, trying to showcase some of what best SL has to offer that I could come by; and that in many areas of interest, not just fashion. Featuring creations by some of you super talented guys because I thought they were well-made, sometimes, but just sometimes, regardless of my own personal taste or preferences, even. I saw it more as a service to others, than a place for self-expression, as I don't care much for recognition. (more...) #
• I just overheard the news on Plurk, via FineThanks, that Metaversatility was very soon closing down their sim, Emvee Cuba. It's one of the most beautifully built sims on SL, see photos here. For one week or so, it'll be up for grabs on eBay; buyer will be given full ownership of an amazing build, and the opportunity to give the place a new lease on life. If not, well, it'll go. Save Emvee Cuba ! (Also, see Fine's post about this new anti-copybotter system put on the market today by Insilico owner, Skills Hak. Though I cannot personally vouch for it as it is really new, shop owners may be interested in checking it out !) #
