Jellyfish

DU---JellyfishThe first Designers United event organised by Lu Waffle and Nil Giha launched just today, and will last 10 days, featuring various fashionable items designed around the theme of the jellyfish by the likes of creators from This is a Fawn, Sugarcube, Niniko, Glow Studio, Twee, Ohmai, Waffle, etc. Those are exclusive creations and will only be available for purchase during this time!

There is a lot to see, and some pieces are pretty amazing. Most of all, I was completely taken with the hat that Apatia Hammerer made, under her Pig brand, which I’ve been wearing since yesterday and will likely continue to wear for some time. It’s just hilarious and awesome to have on. I already liked the idea of this bi-monthly event from Nil and Lu, but now I’m psyched it happened just so this hat would be made.  There are also some really lovely dresses, three of which I chose to wear here, but there’s more, some jewelry from LaGyo and Shade Throne, and two very sweet skins from JM:MAI that I thought complemented the outfits I wore very well.

I hope nobody will mind the heavy black and white treatment too much, but I kind of really liked it. Click here for a color face shot of the JM:MAI skin. And you can view everything by yourself at the event location. Go now, it’ll be gone soon!

Everything shown here is from the Designers United event, including the poses (Nil Giha), but not the long braided hair which is from Hair Solutions (Kia Goodliffe), the gloves from a.C (CheerNo Destiny), and the shoes, from Bella Donna (Erpla Prieto).

  4. Ooh, I’m glad you’re liking them too, guys! :D

GG, I applied two filters from Filter Forge. I had started out with actually different ideas in mind and was just playing around just wanting to add a frame but ended up liking this effect, which seemed fitting, as Anya said, without being too obvious. :)

Everyone who participated in this event truly made outstanding stuff, even if I wasn’t able to mix in more pieces (my day was so organised I had set myself no more than three hours to work on the post), and I’m very eager for the next event already! :D
