I’ve been meaning to blog these books by Miwako Cheney forever. For 250L, and mod/copy, they come all assembled with the shelves or in bundles you can use separately. Super handy, they are I think my most favourite books so far. He also sells hand-drawn customisable frames, which you can tint and drop your own pictures in. At [miw].

Do you know of any “cool” sims to live on? I’m looking for rentable homes or land where I could drop my own home to live on. I can’t seem to find anything worthwhile in my travels. You’re the first person I thought to ask. Thanks! <3

I guess in SL you have pretty much those three options.
1° If by “cool”, you meant places that are easy on the eye, there are the gated, themed communities. A few places I can think of are Harajukubox Town or Trilogy in Combeynot. I’m not sure if that one offers residential rentals at this time, but I doubt you could rez your own home in both cases anyway (at any rates, not on ground level). Prims will likely cost you more, and also I expect liberty of movement to be somewhat restricted in terms of what you can rez and where.
2° Privately owned full sims or homesteads, divided and shared between friends who can still do what they want. This is good if by “cool”, you just meant living with other like-minded peeps. My network is pretty much non-existent, though, so I can’t think of any to point you to. :s
3° Free for all unchartered land, owned by real estates tycoons. You can rez any kind of home, but so can your neighbours ! Those sims will rarely be “cool”.
If there are other places or residential communities I haven’t ever heard of, though, I’d love to hear about them!
