When Toast Bard showed some teasers of her new skins on her blog, I was very excited, all while being unsure exactly what had changed from the previous ones. I’m not very observant like that, and so couldn’t wait to check them out for myself. Well, the minute I finally got to try on a demo at Fashionably Dead last night, I was sure of one thing: I liked these skins so much more ! It’s very subtle, but there’s something more to them, more feminine, more defined and more alluring.
Toast Bard reduced her choice of tones from 6 to 3 and kept Bird Skin, Morning Sun and Earth Flower. I indeed thought 6 was a little much and that 2 could easily have been spared to make picking a skin a little simpler, my personal favourites having then been Morning Sun, Ghost Organs, Earth Flower and Singing Grandpa.
For some reason, the darker tone is appealing to me so much more in this new series, and I’m smitten enough that I very well think I may wear these as my everyday skin for a while, when I used to wear the previously released skins more sporadically, and for kicks alone. Also a silent wish of mine was answered in that the skins can now be bought in fatpacks ! There are 3 fatpacks of 6 make-ups each, with eyebrow and freckles options, and last but not least, individual skins now come at the awesome price of 500L each ! It’s so much more easier to indulge now and get to play with various make-up options, or if you have a favourite one, to buy it in several tones for different looks, feels and oufits. Something which I only allowed myself to do with the previous skins when they were discounted to 300L for the retirement sale and which I will love to keep on doing with the new skins at this new price.
