Blood Orange

FieP is a lovely new skin from Dutch Touch ! Iki Ikarus has been making new tones too with new bodies, and here’s FieP in “Pale”. I love the eyebrows, sort of thick but soft and not overwhelmingly present, and the lips. Different eyebrow options come on seperate tattoo layers, as well as extra moles, teeth, eyeliner and hairbases.

Y’s House Café

Lately it’s not been infrequent to hear folks chafe at the bits, eager for Y’s House to finally release something new, and a few days ago, came out this very nice café prefab. You can see it here. It costs 1200L and 100% of the proceeds are going to the Japan Red Cross.

Rues de mon Paris

I have been looking forward this past month to getting the green light from Vanity to blog the upcoming new edition of the Cupcake sim, while Marie Lauridsen was very busy underdaking the herculean task of turning her popular shopping sim into a Little Paris all by herself.

I had to be careful to avoid a few floating bits of builds here and there in my pictures as the whole place is still one week or two away from full completion — at the most, it could also open a lot sooner — but… here it is ! The new Cupcake, not open for business yet, but just starting today to fill up with new (and old) tenants preparing to set up for the big re-opening, soonish.

That’s where it’s at

It’s a month-old picture and I couldn’t be bothered to take more, but Off The Wall is looking pretty awesome right now, all sunny and happy !

More of Shoe Fair ’11

This is a really cute wedge from Kookie, called Yannis, which comes in three colours at the Shoe Fair. They look really darling from the side and from the back and I like the textures of the straps and sole a lot. The HUD offers 6 nail polish colours and some skin tone presets. Tweaking the skin tone wasn’t too hard although I don’t generally like to spend more than 5 minutes on it, so I think what I managed looks pretty good here but as usual with me it’s not exactly matchy-matchy. The resizer seems to only allow you to enlarge the shoe, not shrink it, from the default size, something you should take into account if you’re particularly tiny.

Shoe Fair ’11

Shoe Fair opens tomorrow, and I’ve been the lucky recipient of much gorgeousness to adorn my feet with already.

It starts with the Kia wedges from LeLutka ! I couldn’t resist photographing my feet in all the colours, although I must have missed one, because there are 13 in all, but I couldn’t figure out which one. The HUD is very pretty; it includes a resizer button, 28 nail polish colours, and several skin tone presets. I just really, absolutely love them. I also like that the sculpted feet part built in the shoe is mostly just toes so you don’t have to worry about matching your skin tone exactly, if you’re lazy about it, which I usually am, or feel it’s a hassle because you change skins all the time. They just feel very easy to wear. [fair slurl]

Home & Garden Expo ’11

This will probably be the only post I make on the Home & Garden Expo and I’m focusing on the items that some of us vendors will be putting out, where the proceeds of the sales are going to Relay For Life, plus some new releases here and there. Oh, and it’ll open later today, at noon SLT.

Above, the adorable little retro coffee table is one of the two items from artilleri for RFL and the caravan is a new release ! It comes in at least six colours, I think. [expo slurl]

The Stuff Store

The Home & Garden Expo is around the corner, and with that, I wanted to make a little highlight on one excellent store I didn’t know before that specialises in retro furnishings: the Stuff Store. It doesn’t have too many items and it is fairly new, although once I had a moment to open the few packages I received, the name of the creator, Crias Rowlands, started to ring a bell to me, and indeed ! Once upon a time, years ago, as I was walking around the Wastelands I saw something I liked very much, so much I had to ask for it, even though the creator didn’t appear to have a store at the time (and that was Crias Rowlands, in case that wasn’t clear).
