Recently released at Botanical is this set of gorgeous maple trees. I had to grab me some even though I don’t even really like snow that much on SL !

Also from Botanical, these firs come in several sizes and here are the small ones. They can be bare or decorated with lights, and as usual, can be purchased copyable or transferable. The small no-copy holiday green fir is only 50L !

And just in case anyone would have missed it, here’s the snowy cottage from Reek ! Beautiful baked lights inside, a must-see. Also Riq Graves has put out vendors with a very convenient gifting system for all his great creations just outside.

Ok, now what’s missing here is an awesome, ridable sled, which I might add some day if I find one.

Here are a few great additions to follow my previous Christmas stuff post !

Super realistic and beautifully lit decorations from “The Loft” creator Colleen Desmoulins, there’s also an equally beautiful set of a dining table and chairs there that is a must-see! The sock is copiable and is free! Everything else is very cheap, starting at 50L, and is no mod/no copy.

Ravyn Hynes from Mudhoney just released this very fine holiday dinner table. The entire set costs 1,550L and can be bought either copyable or transferable, but also each item can be bought separately as well. The seats come with eating animations, and I found everything to be beautifully lit and textured!

Minke Bailey has a whole selection of christmassy stuff to pick from at MB Creations and here was my favourite item. It’s copyable and 375L, if I remember. Oh, and they have a pick reward and a group gift too there, that is like a tree and two christmas gift boxes with poses.

Oi, Turnip Sorbet makes the cutest stuff ! I already had admired the shop that she built for Julliette Westerburg’s Très Blah mainstore, but I didn’t know that she had her own shop until I saw it participating in last week’s Black Friday event. So I went to Turnip’s Homes and Stuff yesterday, and oh my, have a look here, it’s just clap-your-hands fantastic.

Touching the curtain closes and opens it. Each of the two faucet knobs fills the tub with a different type of bathwater and of course, the shower head works, too. Everything comes scripted chock-full with goodness. 2500L for the tub, sink and toilet together, which can be bought separately too, no mod/no transfer.

Not showing much that is new here, but I happened to really like how my avatar looked, so much so that I rezzed a backdrop right where I was, while hanging out, and spontaneously made a post out of what I was wearing then and there, snapping myself while, erm, yeah, dancing. I’m not liking the pics as much as me in world, but here goes anyway. Sometimes it’s nice to do things just because you want to, and not think about whether people will care about it or find it useful !

And there you go, I’m grinning.

Here’s a couple of relatively new additions from Kopi since I last went there ! I thought this rocking chair was worth noting because of its blanket which spreads over your lap when you sit. I just wish the chair was modifiable or at least came with one of those scripts where you can adjust your position or that of some of the prims. It worked fine for my female avatar but when I first tried it on as Arthur, I had my legs slightly poke out in two places, just a bit, but then Arthur is small. Still, it looks pretty nice, and will be cozy by the fire. Also, if I could, I’d replace the rocking script with another one I like better from another chair… if I could.

Beolas Whitfield released a victorian bath set the other day. Pretty sweet, huh ! Here it is, with some other things I like from kusshon. Note that the towel rack is sold separately.

Yesterday, I came by two little builds by “Cherry branch” owner Sakuramoon Rang and found myself charmed by the simplicity and sobriety of their decor. I liked how they went for an authentically outdated look but stopped short of going overboard grungy, and also avoided the usual clutter of cutesy junk.

Continuing my rediscovery of SL’s true potential for extreme realism combining the power of shadows with windlight, the next landmark on my list had to be Amiryu Hosoi’s cluster of four sims where you can immerse yourself in the lifestyle of Edo Japan (well, mostly).

My first glimpse was of a fisherman’s boat, nearby the rice fields. Beyond, the pagoda, seen from within the walls of the marketplace.

Inside Matsumoto Castle, you can attend lectures and events organised by Akiko, one of the community members, or find the Magic Lantern to view some amazing hand-painted slides showing glimpses of Japanese society in the 19th century, while listening to the music on the land. There is also a group you can join to keep up with other events, which include theater and the celebration of Japanese holidays and festivals.

Though a normal Friday here, it’s Black Friday in the United States and to make this week’s Fifty Lindens Friday special there’s an even bigger than usual list of my favourite stores participating in the event. Here I have quickly thrown a few of them into a little outfit for the day, which I underlined in the credits. Also, “M+M” has made kitten heels! I love, love kitten heels, and there is not enough of them around here. Proof of fact: I have only ever owned three pairs of them on here. EVER. This is the fourth, and well, I love that they’re maryjanes too, and quite quirky in their shape and design. I might just have wished to see a white pair as well, and more colours, and perhaps a darker black. Anyways, you can grab two free pairs of them at the moment, set as group gift at the mainstore !
