While mapstalking the other day I spotted Mister Byk amongst his posse and was completely taken with his space traveller suit (the one in the middle). It’s not finished yet, but you can buy his other Edible Bud and Knucklehead avatars already at Byk’s ! They’re really cheap and very thoroughly color-scripted. The shop is still being set-up, so there’s gotta be more ! I think these are really, really great fun.

Finally something to add to the avatars section ! Kyrsten Jigsaw’s tiny avatar is like a chocolate leather inflatable owl. You can have it for 345L at rcbg.

Thora Charron, one of the brilliant designers at LeLutka, has made a really stunning avatar, Eve, as her contribution to this ongoing Rezzable fashion event entitled “The future is now“. It caught my eye straight away when I went sampling, and putting it on, it won me over. I wish there were more avatars of this quality, and with this finish, around the grid. Well, I bet there must be some, but I guess I may just not have crossed paths with enough of them yet. Anyway, I’m glad of this event if only because it has given the opportunity to a creator with Thora’s expertise and high standards to produce something remarkable outside of her field of predilection, for those ones in SL to whom fantasy, sci-fi and role-play appeal more than fashion.

I don’t know if Eve will still be available for retail after the event, but I hope it will be ! Also, the avatar includes a basic set of AOs with a walk and a stand, and a HUD to customise the appearance of the tail, if you choose to wear it.

I wanted to take a few quick snaps with a little bit of attitude, and used Chance Greatrex’s pose set called “WHITE”. They were perfect, thank you, Chance !

Shai Delacroix from Casa Del Shai made these tiny voodoo dolls avatars for Halloween, and they’re really cute ! You can grab them at her mainstore or on xstreet for 350L a pop.

More outstanding creations by Johanick Hutchinson. 3000L on xstreet, that’s right, but they each come full perm so that you can customise your female or male robot to your heart’s content!

I just ran into a friend of Cutea Benelli at Grim Bros. where he was hanging out, politely greeting visitors, and he was wearing this amazing avatar, Cuprum, the male version of which Cutea had made at his request. I think this may be my favourite creation of hers so far — that is, as far as avatars and costumes in the store go, it is hard to keep track of everything she does, she is always wearing something amazing and different every time I see her ! Well, the face on him was so stunning, I had to spontaneously spirit him away for a couple of snaps. And here it is, I could just stare and stare… This, ladies, is a hunk.

Naxos just showed me this machinima of Ripped Winkler’s newest avatar, a giant gorilla. The video itself is magnificently done, but I was really wowed by the avatar alone as well. It looks like a lot of work into it, as the gorilla offers a lot of features, including carrying another avatar in your hand! I’ll probably give in and go get it someday, but I won’t rush it, as it’s 4000L!

At Hotel Dare, you can currently buy avatars reproducing the characters from Ray Caesar‘s artworks, “Decent“, “Companion“, “L’accord d’amour” and “Blackbird“. Brilliant.

These avatars are the collaborative work of Marie Lauridsen, Katat0nik Pidgeon, Leetah Moxie and Autumn Hykova, at the request of Hotel Dare curator Gattina Dumpling.
