Bringing out the good stuff in Second Life®: fashion, hot spots, freebies, etc.

… Arthur, my alt, who’ll sometimes cover male fashion when I’m bored enough to log on it. Spying Stokki’s plurk an hour ago about a new hair release at Uncleweb, I thought now would be a good time for a first post with him. I’m only showing a few hairstyles I liked, Robin and Stewart, the Gael and Ander skins from Imagen, and the clothes he was wearing the last time I played him.

Another one of my big ass pictures, didn’t you just miss them on the feeds?! I had to make a post real quick today after peeping these new shoes from Kalnins on a friend. Just so you know, we’re in the Stiletto Moody price range here, but it’s worth every penny because the sculptie and texturing work is really that amazing, plus you get all colours included in the one pair. Expect a rather nifty HUD with which to customise the leather straps, buckles, skin tones, and toe nails. You can even choose which parts you want shiny or not! It really is a breeze to use.

Also, I had been wanting for a while to make a post featuring these skins recently released at League this month. I learnt about them on Uma’s blog, who has already made a thorough review of them, but the more the merrier, no ? I’m showing 11 make-ups per face here in the Medium tone, but Kate has 14 in all and Misty has 12. Each make-up comes in 4 options, 2 of them with a hairbase.

Lastly, while I was busy toiling on some e-chore I’d come online for, Anya TP’ed me for a lucky board, where she and her friends wowed me with their respective cuteness (putting me to shame wearing my same drab outfit from I don’t remember when it was I last logged on). Anyway, doing a quick and sneaky inspect around, I found out the creator behind t.z., a.k.a. Ty Zvezda, whose shop I’d been trying to find for a month! I hurried there as soon as I had a minute, and on my second trip, bumped into Alan Edison who spontaneously gave me her newest release: a really cute strapless dress, with a high waisted belt, that I’m wearing here with a bustier from G. L. A. M. Anyway, on to the credits now…

Onwards with the stuff. Recently Annyka Bekkers, of Blowpop, released updated versions of four faces from her skin shop: Maya, Carmen, Elizabeth, and Ava (shown here in 5 tones). Elizabeth was the face I wore the most for a good while, but I rediscovered the previous version of Ava in my inventory a week or two ago and fell in love again with it: the well-defined nose, and the character and purity of the face overall. I almost slapped myself for letting it sit around forgotten for so long! Now what I love the most about the N2 versions of these faces, is that each of the 6 make-ups now comes with 2 lipstick versions: bare and coloured up. Perfect for me, as I usually prefer naturally coloured lips.

Newly released by Lu Waffle, this hairstyle, Bonbon, which I find very sweet and these yummy necklaces from TOSL, by Quinlan Quimby, available in four colours.

Ladies and gents, I give you Belle, released just today by BluAbyss Denimore at Vivé9, a store which has apparently taken over the feeds during the week that I was offline. At any rates, I’m pretty sure it’s new to me, unless I’m having a memory lapse. And because it’s new to me and also pretty mind-blowing at the same time, I have taken pains this time to attempt a semi-proper review of sorts, that is, with lots of samples for viewage, even in all the tones!

There are 10 make-ups in all, each one available in every single tone: Afro, Ebony, Tan, and Light. And surprisingly contrary to my tendencies these days, the darker here, the more I am infatuated! Also, the fatpacks are 2000L only, so quite a steal! Aaaand, you may still be in time to grab three free sample skins from this range in the Vive9 in-world group, too.
