‘Tis the Bag Lady

I had no ideas for an outfit today, so I thought I’d photograph all the decent purses in my inventory, and then some, and oh my god, I had no idea I had quite so many. I don’t even wear bags in-world!

Jellyfish for life

jellyfish-for-lifeJust a quickie before I log off! Gyorgyna Larnia had a burst of creativity and showed me a couple pairs of earrings she made since I visited her store. I loved the Jellyfish ones so much — the other ones too but these more — I suggested she join the Indie Rock RFL team and set up a vendor for those at the carnival boardwalk.

If you haven’t heard of it, the Indie Rock RFL event lasts until May 17th, and there’s some partying involved, pretty much non-stop till the closing auction where you can win a “date” with the Jewnas Brothers and a photo session with James Schwarz. If you have no idea who these people are, well, nevermind, but the photo session should be cool. This whole paragraph may be subect to error as I’m roughly remembering these things from notecards that I’m too sleepy to check on for now.

The other stuff:Hair: TekuTeku (Momo Foulon), Skin: Imagen (Rack Brautigan), Jacket: en Svale (Zooey Yokosuka), T-shirt: DP Serendipity (Masuri Dryke), Tank: Boing Fromage (elka Lehane).

Spinster’s tea

spinsters-teaApparently, La Besace has finally opened, I’m not sure when, but today I went to pick up a few items. I dearly wish those could have come modifiable so that I could remove the full-bright option. Personally, I find it makes things look less natural as it removes all the shadows, and makes it all, you know, bright ? That said, those bags are very interesting, and more remarkably, they come with the best functionalities I have seen in a handbag so far. The crocodile cabas can be worn over the shoulder, the forearm or on the hand, and each option has their own three very loveable animations. Sitting will trigger its own overrider as well. Same for the pochette bag which can be worn under the arm or on the hand. In passing, the coloured pochette bags are much nicer than the black one I chose to feature, and are adorned with yummy flowers instead of the bow. La Besace also has shoes, more particularly, some really cute summery wedges.

Also, Glow Studio has new glasses and eyelashes today, and the teary-eyed mascara set is a dollarbie at the moment. Very nice! And I instantly looooved those BlingBling Shades, but rest assured, they don’t actually bling.

Lastly, SteinWerk has released these Fee sunglasses, which are on every level absolutely perfect! The design is very fashion and high-end, go demo them and just look at the branches! Like every pair of shades from SteinWerk, they come with a customising, resizing menu that also has a handy button to move them up or down your nose. I think they are now my favourite pair from there!

The stuff: Hair: Inorite (Violet Morellet), Fur hat: LeLutka (Thora Charron), Old group gift Skin: Rockberry (Heather Beebe), Silver bling glasses: Glow Studio (Anemysk Karu), The other glasses: SteinWerk (Aveline Stein), Jacket: Bianca Foulon, Skirt & Leggings: Emery (sunami Beck), Bags & Shoes: La Besace (Myralda Minnelli).

Tasha @ LAQ

tasha-peachMallory Cowen from Laqroki has of late been working on updating her skins from the Portrait line, which represents dozens and dozens of very personable unique faces. Presently, Tasha has been first in line to be treated to a freshen up, and here’s a preview of the final product; it will soon be added to the Glow line in store! There are ten make-ups and each one comes in two versions, with or without hairbase. These make-ups are versatile and clever in that each one is able to subtly transform the face, in effect enabling you to easily shift from a sweet, fresh, innocent look to a more sophisticated, womanly, mature one, all while retaining the same face. See all make-ups here.

What else: Hair: LeLutka (Minnu Palen), Glasses & Necklace: Chapeau très mignon (Megg Demina), Scarf: Decoy (Annette Voight), Heels: Indi Designs (Jamie Holmer).

LaGyo

lagyoHi, I couldn’t decide on what to wear that would coordinate with different sets of jewelry, so you will have to deal with my titties.

So.

LaGyo is an expanding darling little shop of creative accessories I found out about yesterday. Gyorgyna Larnia, the creator, showed me some of her pieces, and I wanted to do a little review of sorts immediately! I restrained myself to a few pieces, but there are many more, including a very nice knotted scarf, a funny rope bag, and a few hairdos with a lot of flair. Gyorgyna is currently working on several sets of new releases, and on the opening of her new mainstore. Let’s wish her well!

The other stuff: No longer available hair: Coif (Paulie Tamale), Skin: Fashionably Dead (Toast Bard), Lashes: Mayamaya Creations (Mayamaya Indigo).

Delle donne

delle-donne-doodlesThis has got to be my most favourite piece from Marni Grut’s upcoming series of releases so far. I had no idea when I grabbed it how you were supposed to wear it, I actually assumed it must be a skirt, but once I had it on, mamma mia! I loooooove it. It’s all at once goofy, crazy and couture and I demand for more of this!

The new line will be available for purchase at Royal Blue on May 13th, noon.

The stuff: Hair: Tiny Bird (Autumn Hykova), Skin: Fashionably Dead (Toast Bard), Hat: The Dogs (JDDM Catteneo), Dress: Royal Blue (Marni Grut), Kitten heels: Digit Darkes.

Ten a penny

ten-a-pennyThe other day I found myself at the Fashion designers challenge show and while multitasking had a moment to spot a pretty nice sculpted two tier black and red skirt by Annah Whitfield. I misremembered her name at the time, and then didn’t bother trying to track it down. Today, however, I found the shop where the creations for the show were set for sale, went scouting for the skirt and had my attention distracted by an outfit by Ina Centaur instead, called Elorisse, which is an attempt to reproduce the moody, dramatic, 1900 dress here (which I absolutely love, love). I’m not featuring the whole dress, but the part that mostly got my attention: this frilly collar with a thin, long black veil hanging at the front. I otherwise kept the rest simple, it being late, and me not feeling like going all out.

The stuff: Hair: Tiny Bird (Autumn Hykova), Skin: Infinity (Annyka Bekkers), Bustier & Frilly veiled collar: iCouture (Ina Centaur), Skirt: Emery (sunami Beck), Tights: Fleur (CJ Carnot), Flats: Boing Fromage (elka Lehane).
