Oh hey, while I’m on a roll, this is Lisp bazaar, a really cute store with exactly the kind of whimsical stuff I like, by Pandora Popstar.

Furniture that works, by Thaumata Strangelove, at Grindstone. I had spied some of these on flickr at the time of the opening of the store late last year and had it since in the back of my head to go and check it out, here I’m catching up.

You should go to the Koreshan bake sale just for these precious ham & meat bikinis from Pig ! Only lasts till next week-end.

When Toast Bard showed some teasers of her new skins on her blog, I was very excited, all while being unsure exactly what had changed from the previous ones. I’m not very observant like that, and so couldn’t wait to check them out for myself. Well, the minute I finally got to try on a demo at Fashionably Dead last night, I was sure of one thing: I liked these skins so much more ! It’s very subtle, but there’s something more to them, more feminine, more defined and more alluring.

Kellie Iwish just put out a very cute skybox at Elate that comes available in two themes: Daylight and Midnight. For 750L each, they both include a matching set of furniture with a tree, a swinging bench, a flower-shaped hanging light, floor pillows and a bed with some excellent poses. The textures are lovely and well-shadowed, with sunlight effects on the floors, and I particularly liked the stars on the ceilings. You can check out the demos here !

I don’t think I had seen anything from this shop, Crownling, before and indeed inspection says most of these were made during last February to March. There are a few other shops already with cupboards and shelves in this style but I really liked the table with the glass top and the seats have some absolutely adorable poses that you can page through (only wish they had an ‘adjust’ option, maybe). The furniture is mostly no mod and you can buy it either copyable or transferable. Also, the outside of the shop is really quite cute, with the handmade tree shadows on the sidewalk and exterior walls. 03 Ling’s shop takes up a quarter of a full sim, if he would get a homestead instead and design it all around his store, it would make a great photo location, I’m sure !

Chances are you might already have seen this, but if you haven’t, it’s below the REZ shop. You just have to walk back a few steps to fall down there. After a first walk around, I almost sent an inflamed declaration of love to Yuki Aabye. Wish I had, you never know, but the moment has passed ! Anyway, these pics have been sitting around a while and I’m glad I can finally get them off my chest, and drive.

…. free @ Shiny Things ! You have to join the update kiosk first. I know some people who will scoff at them because they’re the opposite of sexy, what with their comfortable shape and lack of a sexy heel, but they kind of hit home with me, especially the black and white version.

I liked them so much I felt like making a post for them. That is not to say I am back to blogging in full swing, as I used to. For that reason, I have made a few changes to the homepage layout that I think will lend itself better to casual blogging (boring as it is, it feels more comfortable at the moment). So, I’m revising my ambitions, scaling down the scope of this blog, and don’t think I will do “Looks of the day” anymore or try to show off the latest thing always but will just blog an item or place I like once in a while instead, if I feel so inclined.

Oh, and if you’re still here, hi !

I’ve enjoyed doing this blogging thing very much during the past year, trying to showcase some of what best SL has to offer that I could come by; and that in many areas of interest, not just fashion. Featuring creations by some of you super talented guys because I thought they were well-made, sometimes, but just sometimes, regardless of my own personal taste or preferences, even. I saw it more as a service to others, than a place for self-expression, as I don’t care much for recognition.

Dive tube & Ninja kite. From sTwo. You walk around with the tube, but start floating when you enter Linden waters. It’s 20L only and has several prints. The kite was similarly priced.

Parachute. A super sweet group gift from -RC- Cluster, by Redd Columbia. It gently bobs as you wear it.

BMX. From Smersh. This bike is simply irresistible ! Even if I forget to wear the pedals sometimes.

Headsack. From Ben’s morgue. In case you ever need to, you know, wrap your head in burlap and also would like to have it tied well and secure with a rope. Featuring Benjamin wearing it himself !
