Ouf, just in time to be able to cover some of the amazing items at Designers United III before the event ends, though of course being this late, a lot of coverage has been done already. I got my computer back yesterday, and had it not started misbehaving right as I was preparing a first outfit for DU III exactly two weeks ago, I certainly would be featuring a lot more here. But as it is, I’m sure many of you have been in person to the shops already, or have seen some of the super awesome blog posts that have been made, including the recently released LeLutka pieces which I am also casually mixing in here, as those incidentally were the last things that I saw in SL before blacking out during the LeLutka Ultra fashion show. That said, I would like to thank all the designers for everything they sent me, and that I will be using a lot more stuff I saw and loved, but that unfortunately I don’t have time today to put in an outfit. Anyway, enough excuses, if there are three people on SL who hadn’t seen any of this yet, this post is for you ! ❤

Tomorrow, the Winter Choice 2009 CSR will begin, and this is yet another prize that will be available there, by Sakuya Lane. Her shop, Feathers, has the cutest collection of sweet foods. Definitely a must-see !

Lately I have been changing skins and looks so often, I barely know my name anymore, let alone get to really enjoy anything I wear. So, I thought I’d slow down a little and work on a series of shots featuring just skins. I must say I really loved photographing each of these, and though it was supposed to be just a quick skin shopping guide for newbies at first (versus the fashionistas who already know these stores), some of the shots I took in the process actually made me go “freaking, wow” ! Here I’m starting with a series of dark skins, and will follow up with a couple more of these, featuring each a different range of skins.

Yonemaru Allen makes these awesomely baked pieces of furniture. Wish he had more ! The bar set is available in brown or black, and the stools below are colour-changeable. These awesome potted plants are 20L each only at the Albero plants and garden festival, there’s many more but these were my favourite (the four mini trees in the middle are actually free, too). The pear tree, duck tree and fish tree are from Aragane Nishi. I have never met him, but every time I see something made by him, I secretly swoon on the inside.

Oh and these old style suitcases are nyasyousa Oh’s prize for the upcoming Winter Choice Creators’ Stamp Rally ! And the shoes too, love them !

These probably won’t be new to anyone who cares to stay in the loop, but that’s just how long it took me to go check out Annunziata Macchi’s skyboxes, at Molto bene. Shame on me ! My faves are the Loft and the Cape Cod skybox.

Don’t hate me, but I just caught on plurk that BettiePage Voyager had sent Xmas gifts to her BP* Update Group. This is the wearable wreath, that you can rez on a wall too. The gifts come in a “box” that is actually a pretty cute glowy little christmas tree.

Spotted this today on the feeds. It’s 250L, no mod/no copy, by Stiv Macalroy at Render.

More mistletoe ! The one on the left is from Hasendow, and can be found here. The one with the ribbon is from Kao and has kissing pose balls.

Also, I knew I had forgotten something I had seen in a notecard some days ago but couldn’t remember. These are the really cute trees that are at Modd.G ! I love the snow powdered one, it looks like icing sugar, and very fairy-tale-bookish. ❤

I believe Scholes Devin’s cars to be the best looking cars I have encountered on SL. There are about 25 models to choose from at “Pro cars“, and these are the ones that caught my eye on my first visit a few weeks ago.

From top to bottom are “Elegance” in black, the most recent release, “Fuel” in green with black stripes, “Action Baja Buggy”, “Speed” in pink, “Demon” in orange, and “Eleanor” in black with gold stripes.

Many of them are available as convertibles, with their top off or on, and are very convenient to use, whether you mean to drive them or use them as decorative props.

First off, as you may know, the maximum number of prims any vehicle is allowed to have that you can drive is 32, and any other additional prims there are, you have to wear as an attachment. So what I liked immediately was that when you hop on, you automatically get a blue menu message asking  if you would like to wear the attachment, and you simply have to click “OK”, so you don’t have to fumble around in your inventory, looking for the appropriate attachment to wear. Because, lazy butt that I am, that is something that has put me off from using some of the other vehicles that I have owned.

On the other hand, when you simply want to use the car as a prop, you just need to click on it and tell it to rez the additional details, although you can also leave them out if you’re short on prims.

The cars are overall a breeze to use, with an accompanying HUD that offers a couple of options such as “Drift” or “Race”. Although I must admit I was mostly thrilled just to look at the cars, admiring their lines and body details. Especially Eleanor, which deserved three views of her own, and that I kind of am infatuated with !

Prices range from 500 to about 3000L, and the cars are no mod/no transfer, if I recall. There is a lucky board with a basic car in it too, if you’re willing to camp for it, so that you can take it for a free test run before choosing your own model.

2REAL Okelli is a new player who presented me with these sneakers today, and they got me immediately excited ! They’re awesome of realism and I love the late 80′s, early 90′s prints on the back of the shoes. There are ten different models to choose from and they’re scripted with a resizer. An eleventh pair is available that lets you tint the parts with a rudimentary HUD (no choice of prints, though). These are, I presume, 2REAL’s first creations in SL, and I look forward to seeing more ! For now, you can check out these babies here.
