Evolved.

I have my avatar. One that I’m very fond of. One that has evolved over the time I’ve been involved in Second Life into the truest representation of how I want to present myself in-world.

However, I like to play and create images and characters. I enjoy finding skins and making shapes for them. And that was how the pictures in todays post started out.

I saw a post at YouStyleSL featuring the new Christian skins from AtomicBambi so I picked one up, messed around for a bit and the results are below.

The hooded top is from Reek and I’m sure everyone has picked up one or two by now. They come in a range of colours and patterns but you can customise all the parts apart from the main body using the included HUD.

The shoes are old favourites from HOC. I used the preset white texture then colour tinted various parts to match the rest of the outfit.

Look 42: Feathers

I love everything about this new release from Miu. It has a nice subtle glow that makes it unearthly beautiful. I am also wearing a new release from a good friend of mine, Azure who has opened a new store called Tee*fy. I love her floral tights the best. So cute. My other good friend, Xerras also opened a store named Cockles and sells cute shirts and poses. I used one of her poses in the second picture. I use them very often especially in my advertisements. A lot of poses have crazy arms but her stands are good if you just want to show something off without arms getting in the way. Very powerful stands. I love them very much and hope she makes hundreds more.

Mismatched

Hello clothes! I love you.I especially love wearing you when you look more comfortable and cozy than my normal RL clothes. That says something about the sad state of my closet right now, eh?

I went shopping this week and picked up the whimsical layered top from Tres Blah, one of my favorite shops since 2008. I was tempted to take this theme all the way into “cowgirl”, but instead I just kept grabbing awesome items and making them fit the mish-mash of “country comfy”. They don’t exactly match, but since I usually dress myself into the proverbial color corner (see my previous post for an example), this is a refreshing break.

My favorite sculpted jean skirt from UnTone Quilt goes with just about everything, so of course I couldn’t do without it. The Miel boots are somewhat goofy, but adorable and superbly textured. Oh, check out these tights! Holy sheeple, they’re affordable, cute, and I bought at least one of every awesome style over at Tee*fy. Go. Buy. Now.

Braindead Betty!

Impromptu post just to let you know that I have collaborated with the great furniture store Blonde*. Zedellbee Zuhal, the name behind Blonde* worked hard to make this valentines box in a gorey version for Hot For Zombie’s “Bloody Valentine” event on such short notice! The gorey version (with zombie poses) is exclusive for the event. Zedellbee and I will be releasing a normal version of the box along with around 13 custom pin-up poses just in time for Valentines! It’ll be available in both our stores so i’ll let you know when it’s out.

hippy grunge is what i like.

sound: so light is her footfall (breakbot remix) – air. breakbot gets me every time. it’s awesomesauce. yes… i just said awesomesauce.

was in a bit of a funky, hippy-ish, grunge mood today… thus the hair and the badass leather jacket – as well as all the other shit i’m wearing to put this look together. i’m sort of obsessed with milk motion’s stumblebum brigade item, an exclusive white/stars version of the infamous loose t-shirt. it’s playful and flirty, perfect to contrast with a blunt and studded leather jacket. as for the bottom, these new poison bleach jeans really did the trick with tears and shadows in all the right places. as for the skirts… busted out the orange lmk skirt i got from halloween (but available at polina kaestner’s store now) to pair it with this plaid number i got from muism that i never got to wear. last but not least… ribbon booties from gfield in a nice tame shade of camel. well, that was all for me. i always tend to blog at this time – about one to two hours past midnight. so i’m pooped. gnite all .

So, I had this idea. Not a big, world altering idea. But an idea nonetheless.

And the idea was to set my dear friend Stacie Pryor a blogging challenge and for her to do the same for me. And to my surprise she agreed. Originally we were going to find one piece of clothing that we could both build an outfit around but after a total failure with that we both set each other a theme around movies. You can see the challenge I set for Stacie over at sheek, and the one she set for me was Tim Burton movies.

It gave me lots of scope. I thought of Beetlejuice (too dead) and Planet Of The Apes (too hairy – even for me) – and so I finally decided upon Sleepy Hollow which resulted in the outfit you can see here.

The coat is from Savvy Avvy and still available on Xstreet for L$50 The usual price is L$399, so its worth picking it up while the price is low.

The rest of the outfit is from Mire. The cane is from there too as well as the poses I’ve used with it which can be bought individually or as a hud.

so originally, i intended to make an all pink and nude look as it seems that nude and feminine style is all the rage lately irl – but as i was styling away, the look turned out to end up a little different than expected! when glow’s baggy pants were released, i instantly fell in love – for those who know me, know that i’m a big sucker for stylish “low-crotched” or baggy pants lol. and surprisingly, i decided to dust off my spiked bare ava stiletto moodys and slip them on. they seemed to have worked with this look. so floral baggy pants, light denim vest, a luxurious studded leopard scarf wrapped around the hair and neck, and aoharu’s tweed coat in red. i’m happy … and have to say, also pretty tired so i’m off to bed. nite nite!

Lady Like

Mmm I’m getting older lol and with growing age comes my love for the sophisticated lady chic O.o You know stuff you laugh about when you are 20 and call it grandma style with the years going by you find more attractive and appealing. Well nothing is bad about that specially when you do it right. This is a look I have put together which I think looks sophisticated and elegant but doesn’t make you look like your best years are over. My friend Kaori created this Blouse with oversized arm sleeves and lace Bows the wide (in case you have a few pounds too many ) “Nicole” Trousers of Dela match perfect just as the cutest shoes by Anexx. Diamonds are a girls best friend but as a lady you have the money in your pocket to buy them too of course at Alienbear Designs. They just released this set called Almas which works nicely for casual & business attire. Last but not least make up and Hair cut a classic curled bob with lip stick matching the hair color é voilà ces’t fini Enjoy!
