This is a post I quickly put together on an impulse following the release of this attic skybox from Reek just today for FLF (it might already be gone, at least at that price already). Fourty-four prims in all and modifiable, it’s going to be my new hideout for now !

I’ve been looking forward to the opening of Lamb Bellic and Julliette Westerburg’s sim Lula for a long time (or Belmar as it was called then), ever since hearing that Turnip Sorbet was building a French village for them. It has been long in the making and so well worth the wait. I was excited for it, and the result goes way beyond my expectations ! So much attention to detail, down to the custom made fields, stone walls, shutters, etc…

Oi, Turnip Sorbet makes the cutest stuff ! I already had admired the shop that she built for Julliette Westerburg’s Très Blah mainstore, but I didn’t know that she had her own shop until I saw it participating in last week’s Black Friday event. So I went to Turnip’s Homes and Stuff yesterday, and oh my, have a look here, it’s just clap-your-hands fantastic.
Touching the curtain closes and opens it. Each of the two faucet knobs fills the tub with a different type of bathwater and of course, the shower head works, too. Everything comes scripted chock-full with goodness. 2500L for the tub, sink and toilet together, which can be bought separately too, no mod/no transfer.
Beolas Whitfield released a victorian bath set the other day. Pretty sweet, huh ! Here it is, with some other things I like from kusshon. Note that the towel rack is sold separately.

Continuing my rediscovery of SL’s true potential for extreme realism combining the power of shadows with windlight, the next landmark on my list had to be Amiryu Hosoi’s cluster of four sims where you can immerse yourself in the lifestyle of Edo Japan (well, mostly).
My first glimpse was of a fisherman’s boat, nearby the rice fields. Beyond, the pagoda, seen from within the walls of the marketplace.
Inside Matsumoto Castle, you can attend lectures and events organised by Akiko, one of the community members, or find the Magic Lantern to view some amazing hand-painted slides showing glimpses of Japanese society in the 19th century, while listening to the music on the land. There is also a group you can join to keep up with other events, which include theater and the celebration of Japanese holidays and festivals.
Cute, well crafted shabby chic furniture by yacchan Clip at Y’s house. The poses are cute, even the closets were animated! There are different types of wood to choose from, and the inside linings can be changed with a click. Many more variations of models available in store.
Some delightful little knick-knacks from Katati Noel. Both clocks function on SL time, but the paper one is my favourite with its penciled hands that move with the minutes. I liked the outlet in Kowloon more, but the mainstore has the complimentary antique map of ‘The lost island of Nautilus’. Something I would have liked to grab also but couldn’t: the old letters…
Nonna Hedges offers a large collection of very nicely crafted antique furniture for your 18th century interior. There are also scripted beds for the romantically-inclined, seamless textures of panelled or painted walls so that you can create a setting that will match, sculpted curtains, and so on and so forth… All at French Antiques.
