This little video snippet by Maylee Oh looks so, so cute, and features herself and Azure Electricteeth wearing tiny Mesh avatars made by yonyon Yip. And it’s really a whole other SL with shadows and depth of field going on ! Looks as good as a professional video game sometimes.

The alligator is currently free and is offered as a group gift at the Stray Pig mainstore. There’s also a baby pig avatar in a lucky board, and other Mesh avatars, like the giraffe, cost 555L.

Linden Lab has done something really nice here with this large selection of new default avatars for you to wear from the Library: animals, robots and cars designed by the likes of Damien Fate, Renn Yifu and Xenius Revere. I couldn’t try any of them yet because though I see the avatar folders in my third-party viewer Phoenix, I cannot put them on, and the regular Linden Lab viewers keep crashing for me whatever I do. There’s a “secret sale” currently going on at Elikatira until the 26th, with all items greatly discounted. You can buy a pair of shoes for 60L or a hairstyle for 80L. Fatpacks are 400-440L. I almost never buy those anymore but now was the time to get one or two ! Pity I already had all the hair I could want already, so I just grabbed these pumps in all the colours. I also got this dress on sale at Epoque, where there is a 30% discount on most clothing, plus an additional 15% if you’re in the VIP group. Oh, and also this bag was a suscriber gift from House of Fox !

Also this scarf from Vive9 at CHIC Limited is my new favourite scarf; great sculpt but I also love, love the sort of crimped texture. It’s so well done! And it was only 75L for two versions in pink.

Last but not least, I was prompted to make this post after trying on this skin in progress from !mabee, Olivia. It looked so nice with the Watson hairstyle I was wearing from the previous post that I made another look with it, this time with the Rykiel hair, for a change. I was never really able to fit into one of those !mabee skins before, although I used to find them really nice on some other great bloggers, but I really like this one. I think the face now “pops” more, perhaps something about the shading ! And the lips are really lush. I think this skin will be perfect for redheads, and it has really cute freckles too. They’re all over but not overpowering and mesh with the skin grain as well.

Behold, the tank to end all tanks. The most beautiful back ever drawn, I am never going to need another. And it’s a freebie ! From Pig, at The Free Dove. I love this colour too, and I had completely forgotten about that freebie place. If you love this tank, like I do, it’s also been made in other colours, to be found at the Pig mainstore. The teal tank is part of a whole free outfit, and there’s one for men too.

I got one of Toast Bard’s skins at the Tableau Spring Color Festival; I really loved this lipstick colour and was hoping I might be able to wear the skin without the fancy facial paint — I did like the whole-make-up too, really, but I was glad that the skin does come with and without it, and with different eyebrow colours, too. Other freebies here include the shades from Epoque; there’s a joining fee for the VIP group, but it is just 125L. The big amethyst ring is a gift from House Of Fox. It’s called the April gift, so maybe it’ll be out for all of April ? It’s just at the entrance, in a box. The colour was perfect to use in this post !

This is a post I quickly put together on an impulse following the release of this attic skybox from Reek just today for FLF (it might already be gone, at least at that price already). Fourty-four prims in all and modifiable, it’s going to be my new hideout for now ! Often, making an old, traditional, worn-out build means slapping on grungy textures, that often look too raw and photorealistic or too… grunged out; and they lack shading too, and the overall result hurts the eyes and looks pretty haphazard to me. I’m glad Riq Graves surprised us with this new product, tackling on a popular style of build on SL, but bringing his own touch and texturing skills to it.

On another note, Colleen Desmoulins launched a new in-world group for her store, which will offer discounts, and gifts. I’ll admit I balked a little at the entrance fee at first, but then when I decided I was going to make a décor blog post today, I went for it to have more things to show here. There’s a whole dining-room set, just out, offered as a gift among other things. It is my secret hope that we will be spoilt at least a few times a year !

Now five shots of the same thing, that’s really a vanity post, I suppose, but various elements in this outfit really pleased me and it seemed to just about look good in every angle. Yep ! Also, Lamb hairstyles like this, close around the face, usually don’t fit my wide face, but surprisingly this one did, and I’m glad I went to try it out for it completed nicely the look I guess I was going for. And it’s really, really quite lovely.
