Today that the throng has finally cleared at LeLutka, the order of the day when going to shop the new summer release was for me not to splurge too much, so I zeroed in on just these two items, a pair of shorts and a jacket, but I can well predict that I am not going to take this outfit off for at least a week.

The Safari pants are entirely sculpted and are to be worn with an alpha layer. I’d had my eye on them since seeing the teaser last week, but worried about how wearable they would be. It turns out the shorts worked really with all of my AO’s and with most of the poses I tried during my shoot as well. And in the few instances where a bit of skin showed, it wasn’t anything too dramatic anyway and was easily fixed. If you’ve not been entirely convinced by other shorts in the past that were constructed similarly, give those a try anyway. Plus there’s a demo, so there’s nothing to hold you back from trying out for yourself. And because of the way the design flares out around the thighs, I found no issue with walking around with those shorts either (not unless you have a really goofy walk).

Now I tend to generally stay away from leather jackets and blazers too, because I don’t like wearing chest attachments too much, but I absolutely had to have the My Way jacket as soon as I saw it. It fit me right out of the box, and I love wearing it !

The Mini skin that is being released this Saturday at Laqroki could hail a return for Mallory Cowen to the very natural, matte-looking faces of her early “Portrait” line. The “Glow” skins of recent years have habitually had more shine to them, and don’t normally include bare lips versions, which I’m a sucker for ! Mini has such a sweet look, and I love her sweet, natural lips.

As usual, Mini is offered in a pack of 10 make-up versions. I just dressed up the natural base a bit with an eyeliner tattoo from Pididdle and freckles from Très Blah and I’m set !

Also I’m all over this bag now from Milk Motion that I’ve been coveting for weeeeks ! The textures are great and its overall look and design are so casual, just like what’d I’d use in real life. Second Life handbags are sometimes a little too elaborate or fancy or don’t feel too much like me, but this one kind of does. It’s out at the The Dressing Room Blue this week-end for a bargain. Go get it !

There’s a “secret sale” currently going on at Elikatira until the 26th, with all items greatly discounted. You can buy a pair of shoes for 60L or a hairstyle for 80L. Fatpacks are 400-440L. I almost never buy those anymore but now was the time to get one or two ! Pity I already had all the hair I could want already, so I just grabbed these pumps in all the colours. I also got this dress on sale at Epoque, where there is a 30% discount on most clothing, plus an additional 15% if you’re in the VIP group. Oh, and also this bag was a suscriber gift from House of Fox !

Also this scarf from Vive9 at CHIC Limited is my new favourite scarf; great sculpt but I also love, love the sort of crimped texture. It’s so well done! And it was only 75L for two versions in pink.

By the way, if you like these hair attachments, there’s an exclusive version of them in the Pididdle store group, though there is a joining fee, and I just got some of the regular ones from the store here.

Last but not least, I was prompted to make this post after trying on this skin in progress from !mabee, Olivia. It looked so nice with the Watson hairstyle I was wearing from the previous post that I made another look with it, this time with the Rykiel hair, for a change. I was never really able to fit into one of those !mabee skins before, although I used to find them really nice on some other great bloggers, but I really like this one. I think the face now “pops” more, perhaps something about the shading ! And the lips are really lush. I think this skin will be perfect for redheads, and it has really cute freckles too. They’re all over but not overpowering and mesh with the skin grain as well.

I’m a sucker for afros and otherwise big, curly black hairstyles, and this is my latest favourite ! It comes from MrS, a shop I don’t think I knew before. A shop with a three-letter name. That brings me to something I’ve been meaning to bring up for a long time. Do you know how hard it is to find a three-letter name store in search ? Well, I don’t know about you but I usually don’t have a lot of luck with those. And it’s especially harder if you do not list your shop in search ! And worse if the only person who knows the shop and that can help you… misspelled your name ! You know who you are. Please, if you can, check that little box here to list your shop ! It’ll cost you 30L a week, but it does wonders, I promise you that.

Behold, the tank to end all tanks. The most beautiful back ever drawn, I am never going to need another. And it’s a freebie ! From Pig, at The Free Dove. I love this colour too, and I had completely forgotten about that freebie place. If you love this tank, like I do, it’s also been made in other colours, to be found at the Pig mainstore. The teal tank is part of a whole free outfit, and there’s one for men too.

I got one of Toast Bard’s skins at the Tableau Spring Color Festival; I really loved this lipstick colour and was hoping I might be able to wear the skin without the fancy facial paint — I did like the whole-make-up too, really, but I was glad that the skin does come with and without it, and with different eyebrow colours, too. Other freebies here include the shades from Epoque; there’s a joining fee for the VIP group, but it is just 125L. The big amethyst ring is a gift from House Of Fox. It’s called the April gift, so maybe it’ll be out for all of April ? It’s just at the entrance, in a box. The colour was perfect to use in this post !

Well! I thought I was done but Tokidoki has made all these new skirts I love, and ruffled tops and scarves, too. I wanted to photograph them all, but I crashed a lot, so it’s just this one skirt. I like how overall it looks very much like a real skirt. I like the shape of the skirt and the placement of the belt, and the fact that the top is not just a simple torus plopped around my avatar’s waist. Those almost never look right; no matter how you resize, it looks awkward and rigid. But this, it all just shapes naturally around my form. I’m very pleased! The tops in this release are also very cute, very summery; and the scarves were the exact shape of scarf I had been looking for just hours before I had published my previous post.
