The modern northern-african Muscat house at Scarlet Creative feels as open as it is also private, with its many labyrinthine rooms and corridors that are shielded only by blinds, which will still let the air and light flow freely. The layout of the house offers the ability to either spend additional time decorating and personalising the numerous sectionned spaces or to leave most of them bare, in the minimalistic spirit that the house was originally built in, using only the matching furniture provided for the house, being therefore equally as suitable for the interior design freak or the bachelor who wants a smart home right out of the box, with minimal effort involved.

After some remodelling at the Tableau Society for Well-Being, prefab makers Barnesworth Anubis, Ingrid Ingersoll and Cory Edo are reopening their respective stores and are inviting you to visit their displays this week-end, with decorative gifts awaiting you at twenty of their demo locations (the Wu house being the one I liked most out of the list!).
A series of charming wooden huts and cabins by Izzy Dench, at Blackstar. The wacky shop hut, church house and old wooden cottage are nicely textured, well shadowed and very low-prim. And all below 150L! Nearby the prefabs vendors is a 0L box containing 44 grungy textures intended to build your own gas station, but they should be able to serve many other urban derelict purposes as well.

It’s not that I’m too much into the medieval, romantic or what have you scene, and you may laugh, but what a relief from our eternally flat builds: these stonewalls just jump to the eye. Isn’t it sweet ? So, the exterior doesn’t look absolutely perfect overall, the stones are a teeny bit… wobbly, it could also be my viewer not beeing up to the task of handling all those sculpties, but this is very promising of what we can expect to see more of in Second Life this year, in way of housing.
